Galway Bay RFC’s U14s are on the road this Sunday, heading to Corrib Rugby Club for a Connacht Plate Final against Ballina. Kick-off is 2pm.
It’s been a strong year for this group. They came through the league unbeaten, but they’ll know that means nothing now. Ballina are a good side and this will be a proper test.
What stands out with this squad is how much they’ve come on. Better with the ball, more organised without it, and they’ve stuck together all season. You can see the work that’s gone in.
Sunday is a big day, but it’s also part of a bigger few weeks. This final, and next week’s trip to Lyon, are a great reward for the effort the players have put in — both on the pitch and fundraising off it.
Whatever happens, it’s been a season worth shouting about. Now they’ve a chance to finish it with a trophy.
