Galway Bay U18.5s 25–22 Corinthians
Galway Bay U18.5s secured an impressive away victory over league leaders Corinthians in a fiercely contested and physical encounter.
Led by captain Jason Francis, both sides started with real intensity, with defence on top in the opening exchanges. Each team crossed for a single try in the first half, leaving the contest finely balanced at the interval.
Corinthians came storming out after the break and struck for two quick tries to put pressure on the visitors. Galway Bay responded in style, however, with Daniel Kennelly finishing a well-worked move after winning a penalty deep inside the Corinthians 22.
The final quarter was played at a relentless pace, with chances at both ends, but Galway Bay showed great composure. Accurate penalty kicking from out-half Dylan Curran proved crucial and ultimately sealed a deserved win.
A superb team performance, with every player giving maximum effort for one another.
